Metatech Sony J5 / J7 / Z7 USB Data Cable (Modem)~~A USB data cable for connecting a compatible PC and Sony phone. This cable supports the use of general purpose phone software that is widely available on the internet. It enables data transfer to and from the phone so that a wide variety of functions can be carried out. USB data cables require driver software to be installed to map the USB cable to a virtual com port, such as COM 3. This means that the cable is fully compatible with all availble mobile phone software that operates through standard serial ports. USB cable drivers can be obtained from the downloads page.

Metatech External Power Stabiliser~~A double serial connector RS232 (male to female) that applies an external power supply between the serial port and a data cable. Some service unlocking and flashing programs require a stable voltage to operate successfully, and this adapter stabilises the voltage through the use of a 9v battery. It can be used with all phones, but is especially necessary for, Alcatel, Panasonic, Sony and Samsung phones.
